Boatyard Regulations
Main rules for the use and stay at the Porto Santo Marina Boatyard.

The use of the Porto Santo Marina Boatyard is subject to the Regulations for the Use and Stay of the Boatyard, applicable to all users, owners, representatives, service providers and other entities using the facilities.
This page provides only an informative summary of the main points. In the event of any discrepancy, the official document shall always prevail.
1. Service booking and confirmation
Vessel owners wishing to use the Boatyard services must book the required space at least 15 days before the intended date.
The booking is subject to space and Travel Lift availability and shall only be considered confirmed after written confirmation by Porto Santo Marina and acceptance of the applicable conditions by the owner or their representative.
2. Required documentation
For admission to the Boatyard, valid documentation relating to the vessel and to its owner or representative may be requested.
- Updated vessel documentation;
- Proof of the vessel’s legal status;
- Valid civil liability insurance;
- Own damage insurance valid throughout the entire stay;
- Compliance with any formalities required by the competent authorities.
3. Travel Lift operations
Entry into the Travel Lift quay, approach manoeuvres, mooring and the positioning of lifting slings under the hull are the responsibility of the vessel’s skipper or captain, who may be assisted by Boatyard operators whenever necessary.
During lifting, transport and positioning operations, no persons are allowed to remain on board, except where strictly necessary for the manoeuvre.
4. Stay at the Boatyard
During the stay at the Boatyard, owners or representatives must keep the vessel legally compliant, clean, tidy and in accordance with safety, hygiene, noise and waste management rules.
They must also comply with all legitimate instructions issued by the Porto Santo Marina Boatyard team.
5. Prohibited conduct
Conduct that may compromise safety, the environment, the operation of the facilities or the wellbeing of other users is prohibited within the Boatyard.
- Living, sleeping overnight or socialising on board vessels;
- Remaining on board vessels after the facility’s closing time;
- Receiving visitors without prior authorisation from the Boatyard management;
- Disposing of waste, oils or polluting substances outside designated areas;
- Carrying out noisy, polluting or hazardous works without authorisation;
- Using unauthorised electrical connections or equipment;
- Bringing machinery, materials or equipment from outside without authorisation.
6. External service providers
The provision of services at the Boatyard by companies, technicians or third parties depends on prior authorisation from the Boatyard management and on compliance with the applicable rules.
Service providers must hold adequate insurance, identify their personnel, use their own properly maintained equipment and comply with all hygiene, safety, environmental and waste management rules.
7. Parking and extended stays
The allocation of dry parking spaces is the responsibility of the Boatyard management. The Boatyard may refuse the entry or stay of vessels that do not comply with legal, documentary, technical or safety requirements.
Long-term stays, including wintering or storage arrangements, may be subject to specific conditions, including restrictions on access, works, water and electricity connections.
8. Cleaning, waste and safety
After any intervention, the working area must be left clean, tidy and free from waste. Municipal solid waste and waste resulting from repairs or maintenance must be disposed of in the appropriate locations, in accordance with applicable regulations.
9. Vessel departure
Vessels may only leave the Boatyard after all applicable formalities have been completed, all outstanding amounts have been paid and confirmation has been given by the Porto Santo Marina team.
10. Tariffs and payments
The stay at the Boatyard, use of the Travel Lift and provision of services are subject to the applicable tariff schedule. Tariffs may vary according to the type of contract, length of stay, vessel characteristics and services requested.
11. Opening hours
Administrative services, reception, gatehouse and Travel Lift operations generally operate from 09:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays and holy days.
Technical and cleaning services also operate from 09:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday.
12. Supervision and complaints
Supervision of compliance with the Regulations is the responsibility of the Porto Santo Marina Boatyard and APRAM, without prejudice to the powers assigned to other competent authorities.
Any complaint must be submitted in writing at the Boatyard reception.
